Product Description
The Liebert
®
APM system is a next generation UPS intended for use in medium and large scale computer rooms, data
centers and similar installations, and has been designed for maximum energy efficiency and minimal footprint. It is
ideal for medium to large businesses where space and flexibility are important factors.
Its modular rack configuration houses both power modules inside the same UPS cabinet, allowing for scalability, while
delivering the ideal balance of high availability, reliability, and efficiency, without increasing the system footprint.
A single battery bank can be dedicated to each UPS, thereby ensuring full redundancy and avoiding a single point of
failure. Extended battery life is further ensured through a temperature compensated charging algorithm, which
prevents battery damage and increases life span. The Liebert
®
APM provides continuous, high quality AC power to
business-critical equipment such as telecommunication and data processing equipment. The Liebert
®
APM series
supplies power free of the disturbances and voltage and frequency variations that typically affect utility power, which
is subjected to brownouts, blackouts, surges and sags.
Increases in capacity and redundancy can be made both vertically and horizontally by adding power modules to an
existing rack; alternatively, it may be achieved by connecting complete UPS systems in parallel in order create
installations capable of delivering up to 2.4 Mega Watts of active power.
Thanks to its easy-to-remove power modules, Liebert
®
APM is simple to install and service. The swappable,
module-based architecture greatly reduces mean repair times, and facilitates maintenance operations by allowing
single modules to be serviced while the remaining modules continue to power the load. All the power modules and
critical components are easily accessible from the front of the unit.
The unit features a large, integrated micro-processor-based display, which provides a wide range of information
including real-time meter readings of system currents and voltages, to name but a few, and is compatible with HTTP
(read Web), Modbus, and SNMP protocol communication protocols.
