Install the protective caps supplied with the I/O BOX on the switch extension bars (see Fig. 11 - on page
24).

6.3. Taking the UPS out of service
Switch to service bypass
• Switch the UPS to maintenance bypass operation (see Table 4.4 on page 18)
6.4. Disconnect the batteries
• Open the external battery isolator or battery switch (if present).
• Before continuing, measure the voltage on the battery terminals and on the line power input, and
wait until the voltages have dropped below safety limits. Failure to do so may lead to severe
electrical shock.
The UPS is now fully de-energized and can be taken out of service.
