SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR PETROL GRASS CUTTER
WARNING!
Observe safety regulations when using the petrol grass cutter.
For your own and other persons’ safety read this manual before
starting to work. Please keep this manual for future reference.
WARNING!
• Allow access to the petrol grass cutter only to adults who
know how to handle the tool.
• This instruction manual should be given with the petrol grass
cutter.
• Persons who are not familiar with the instruction manual must
not use the petrol grass cutter.
• Other use of the petrol grass cutter is the sole responsibility
of the user who should bear in mind that it can be dangerous.
• The manufacturer is not responsible for losses and damages
resulting from unintended use of the petrol grass cutter.

PREPARATION
•
When cutting always wear sturdy shoes and long trousers.
•
Always use personal protection measures, such as protective
glasses
•
Carefully check area you are going to work on and remove all
objects, that might be projected by rotating cutting element, e.g.
stones, branches, bottles etc. or be caught by the tool, e.g. wires,
ropes.
•
Before each use ensure the cutting element is not damaged.
•
Hold the petrol grass cutter with both hands and keep the head
axis perpendicular to the ground.
•
Care about environment: prevent fuel leakage.
•
Start the petrol grass cutter at least
3
metres from the place the
fuel was filled.
•
Do not fill fuel in closed spaces.
USE
•
Fill the fuel tank when the engine is off and cooled down,
otherwise there is risk of spilling the fuel and ignition from hot
parts of the cutter.
•
Do not fill fuel above maximum level of the tank. After filling make
sure to carefully tighten the fuel plug.
•
Do not start the engine when fuel leakage is found, it may cause
fire.
•
The petrol grass cutter heats considerably during operation. Be
careful and do not touch hot parts of the engine with unprotected
parts of your body.
•
When working with grass cutter keep the distance from bystanders
at least 1

metres.

Cut grass only in daylight or in well illuminated places.
•
Avoid cutting wet grass.
•
Do not operate the grass cutters in sandals or barefoot.
•
When standing on a sloped terrain always ensure you stand firmly
on the ground.
•
Walk, never run.
•
Cut only crosswise a slope, never up or down.
•
Be very careful when changing direction of cutting.
•
Switch off the engine when carrying the petrol grass cutter.
•
Fuel tank of the petrol grass cutter must be empty during
transportation.
•
Switch off the drive before tilting the petrol grass cutter to carry it
or when transporting it to or from place of work.
•
Do not use the petrol grass cutter with damaged shields, body or
without shields.
•
Never attach cutting elements not recommended by the
manufacturer.
•
Ensure your feet are away from cutting element and switch on the
engine as described in the manual.
•
Be careful not to cut yourself with the blade for cutting line to
proper length.
•
Ensure the ventilation holes are free from obstructions.
•
Never keep your hands or feet close to moving parts.
•
Only authorised persons should carry out repairs.
•
Use only spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
•
Stop working with first signs of fatigue.
•
Hold handles with both hands when operating the cutter.
•
Never put hot grass cutter on a dry grass.
•
Do not smoke close to petrol grass cutter, it may cause fire.
•
Switch off the device:
–
each time you go away from the device;
–
before checking, cleaning or repairing the device;
–
after the device is hit; ensure the device is not damaged and repair
it in authorized service when necessary.

when the petrol grass cutter starts to vibrate excessively, switch it
off immediately and check the cause.
MAINTENANCE AND STORING
•
Store petrol only in closed canisters designed for such purpose
and marked, in dry and cool place.
•
Keep all components in good condition to ensure the petrol grass
cutter works safely.
•
To keep the operation safe, replace worn out and damaged parts.
•
Protect against humidity.
•
Keep the tool beyond reach of children.
•
Use cutting elements of appropriate type only.
