Check the seal on the screw by introducing a
small amount of fuel into the float bowl.

Re-fit the float bowl to the carburetor body,
using a new gasket and tightening the four
screws to the specified torque.

Check that the throttle rocker arm rotates
freely onto its seat.
Note:
Check that the gasket is inserted properly.
Note:
Avoid excessively loading the accelerator
pump rocker arm control.

Clean and blow the idle-speed flow screw.

Check that the screw is free from oxidation
and/or deformations.

Fit the spring onto the screw, as shown in the
picture.

Tighten the flow screw onto the carburetor body and adjust its final position by carrying
out an exhaust gas analysis.

Prepare the carburetor for adjustment with the screw loosened by two turns from its
closing position.

Check that the accelerator pump control rocker
is free from abnormal wear.

Check that the rocker travel end screw
protrudes by 0.126 in (
3.2 mm
).
