Placing
Install the appliance in a dry and well
ventilated place. Avoid installation near
heat sources or in direct sunlight. Standard
EN378 specifies that the room in which you
install the appliance must have a volume
of 1m3 per 8g of R600a refrigerant used
in the appliances to avoid formation of
inflammable gas/air mixtures in the event of
leaks in the refrigerant circuit. The quantity
of refrigerant used is indicated on the name
plate.
Place the appliance on the floor and make
sure that it is level.
Room temperature
The appliance is designed and adjusted to
produce an optimum temperature level in
the vaccine compartment at a minimum/
maximum ambient temperature of +20°C to
+32°C.
NOTE:
The appliance must not be placed in
ambient temperatures below +20°C.
NOTE:
Updated WHO PQS specifications:
The temperature specifications of the vacci-
ne storage refrigerator allow brief deviations
from the general target of +2°C to +8°C.
During a 5 day period, temperatures over
+8°C should not exceed a total of 12 hours
or 20°C. The temperatures should
also not get below +2°C for a total of 12
hours or reach 0°C.
Ventilation
It is important that the appliance is well ven-
tilated, and that air can circulate unhindered
above, below, and around the appliance.
Fig. 3 below illustrates how the necessary
air circulation can be ensured.

There must be at least 30 mm clearance
between the base of the appliance and the
floor.
Ventilation openings in the appliance or in
built-in structures must be kept clear.
NOTE: There must be free access to the
ventilation grille.
Unpacking
Unpack the appliance and check that it
has not been damaged. If you observe any
damage, please inform your supervisor.
