ENGLISH
The engine is stopped, a
possible battery charger is
switched off.
Carry out measurement A
(B+ALTERNATOR).
Is the measured voltage
equal to 0 Volt?
YES
Carry out measurement B
(battery voltage).
Is the measured voltage
equal to the battery voltage
(e.g. 12,4 Volt) ?
Start the engine or switch
on the battery charger.
Carry out measurement A
and measurement B.
Do all measured voltages
increase gradually? See page
12, (2).
Battery splitter and installa-
tion are correct.
Loosen the wire to the alternator and/or battery
charger and carry out measurement C.
Is the measured voltage equal to the battery volt-
age?
Faulty battery splitter.
Carry out measurement D.
Is the measured voltage equal to the battery volt-
age?
Fault in installation; see
page 12, (1).
Installation is cor-
rect.
Is the measured voltage exactly 0 volt?
The connection to the
battery is interrupted.
The battery is nearly
fully discharged.
Is the measured voltage ‘A’ equal to the nominal
charge voltage?
Exchange the batteries
by connecting them to
an other terminal of the
battery splitter.
Faulty battery splitter.
Faulty alternator or
battery charger; see
page 12, (3).
