VA (Video Analysis)
The network cameras provide VA (Video Analysis) functions and analyzes video to detect logical
events of specified conditions from the camera’s video input.
• Video Content Analysis Setting:
Check
Enable video content analysis
box to use a VA
function. In order to setup VA function, at least one preset position must exist, and otherwise

may not be activated.
– Preset number:
User can assign different rules for each preset position. Select the preset
position to set the VA rules.
– View Rule:
The selected Events will be displayed on Video Preview, and enables you to
setup VA Event.
– Object:
Setup the object related configurations such as Sensitivity and Size to optimize the
VA detection.
* Sensitivity:
As the value becomes bigger, the detection sensitivity increases. If there are
lots of motion in the screen such as trees, lower the Sensitivity value.
* Min/Max size:
Set the object size to be detected.
* Show object size:
The object size will be displayed on Video Preview.
NOTE:
Recommendation on object size setting
* Indoor (10m distance, height about 170cm): Sensitivity 80, Min width size 2, Min height
size 6, Max width size 50, Max height size 60
* Outdoor (30m distance, vehicle): Sensitivity 80, Min width size 2, Min height size 4, Max
width size 60, Max height size 50
* In order to avoid merging of several objects into one or splitting of a single object into
multiple, please appropriately set sizes of minimal and maximal object that can enter the
scene.
* Great noise can cause unintended detections. Lower the sensitivity appropriately in
