Chapter 2 Installation and Operation
XX-200-00
Pilot Plus
LCD Display
The LCD display provides information about the system cameras, monitors
and presets. When MENU is pressed, the LCD display works along with the
joystick to set LCD brightness, joystick speed and enable or disable audible
alarm indication or clicks when the front panel is touched.
Joystick
The joystick is a touch-sensitive pad that is manipulated by putting your
finger on it and moving up and down and right to left. The joystick has a
variable-speed response. The farther that you move your finger from the
center of the joystick pad, the faster the dome will move.
Other Controls and Connectors
The ENTER key is pressed to acknowledge and complete a command, such
as selecting a menu option or storing a preset. The BACK key returns you to
the previous action or state. It works with monitor, camera, preset, menu, etc.
selections. Two USB ports are provided on the front panel for external flash
drive or USB hard drive connection. These or the rear panel USB ports can
be used for Configurator program updates. You can also connect a USB
mouse and keyboard to the front or rear panel USB ports.
Powering the Unit On
Press and hold the power switch button on the rear panel for approximately 5
seconds. The unit will begin to boot up.
Note:
The LCD display on the front panel takes approximately 90 seconds to
illuminate. Only the main unit back panel is shown.
