When power is applied to my Surveyor2000, it toggles between the diagnostic screen and the status
screen in an endless loop. What is the problem?
This symptom is usually caused by the dome being underpowered. Refer to the electrical portion of the Technical Information
section in the Surveyor2000 Installation & Operation Manual for the table specifying maximum operating distances with various
wire gauges.
How far can I place the Surveyor2000 from the power supply?
The dome must receive 22 to 34 VAC. Refer to the electrical portion of the Technical Information section in Surveyor2000

Everything is wired and programmed but I do not have control of my Surveyor2000. What is the problem?
Thoroughly check all wiring to the Surveyor2000 including polarity (+ and –) and cross connection (Cin and Ro). Verify DIP switch
settings for address and communications mode.
The control of my Surveyor2000 is intermittent. What is wrong?
Check the data connections on the Surveyor2000 and on any other units linked to it through the Ro and Cin connections.
What address should I use for my Surveyor2000?
Use the number of the physical connection of the Surveyor2000 to the control system or matrix switcher. Define this number to the
Surveyor2000 using switch S1 as discussed in the Surveyor2000 Installation & Operation Manual. Use this number when
selecting the Surveyor2000's camera with a control device.
How do I get the Surveyor2000 to autopan continuously (360 degrees)?
Program the pan left and right stops (presets 98 and 99) to the same position. Refer to the Surveyor2000 Programming manual for
setting stops.
What is the advantage of running duplex data as opposed to simplex?
Duplex configuration allows the Surveyor2000 to be supervised by the CPU. In the event of a failure, a failed message will be
annunciated on the control device. Duplex also enables indication of autopan, autoiris, auxiliary and preset functions. Simplex
configuration does not offer these features.
