SPECIAL EFFECTS PLAYBACK
The following convenient functions are available. Audio output is muted during special effects playback.
You can adjust the speed by using the SHUTTLE
ring.
Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
Press the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button to
obtain a still picture.
Turn the SHUTTLE ring to the
for the
desired playback speed.

If the SHUTTLE ring is released, it will come back
to the centre position and still mode will be
resumed.
l
Pressing the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button while
turning and holding the SHUTTLE ring as in step 3
continues the playback speed you selected even
though the shuttle ring is released.
You can also change the playback speed without en-
tering the PAUSE mode by turning the SHUTTLE ring
during playback.
If you release the ring, it will come back to the centre
p o s i t i o n , a n d n o r m a l p l a y b a c k w i l l r e s u m e ,

( ) indicates the playback speed of the recorded tape in
SP mode.

A few noise bars or vertical movement may appear during still playback.

You can use the JOG dial to advance the tape frame by frame.
While the VCR is playing a tape, press the PAUSE/SHUTTLE HOLD button to freeze the picture on screen.
Slightly rotate the JOG dial clockwise to advance the tape forward. Slightly rotate it counterclockwise to reverse the
