ADJUSTMENT DURING PLAYBACK
If noise appears in the picture during playback, fast playback, reverse playback or forward/reverse slow playback, adjust
the TRACKING buttons to achieve the best picture.

For tracking adjustment at fast playback, reverse playback or forward/reverse slow playback mode press the PAUSE/
SHUTTLE HOLD button while turning and holding the SHUTTLE ring.
When pressing the TR) and
buttons at the same time during playback, reverse playback or forward/reverse
slow playback, the tracking is set to the initial setting.

When in reverse playback or reverse slow mode, noise bars may appear on the screen.
l
Noise bars will move continuously through the picture when a TRACKING button is pressed and held (except in
playback mode).
Noise bars will move through the picture each time the TRACKING button is pressed (in
playback mode).
l
When a picture recorded in 2H mode is played back in
mode, noise may appear on the screen even though
adjusted with the tracking button.
This control allows you to adjust the playback picture so that the outline is sharper or softer.
l
This control is only effective during playback.
The picture vibration can be reduced or eliminated by the following steps.
q
If the vibration occurs in still, slow motion, fast
or normal playback in 24H 960H or OH mode, playback
a tape which is recorded in 2H or 6H mode with this VCR and press the PAUSE button.
q
If the vibration occurs during normal playback in
8H and
mode, playback a tape in its playback mode.
Press the VERTICAL ADJUST (+) or (-) button to reduce or eliminate the picture vibration.
When the picture is

Horizontal vibration cannot be corrected with the VERTICAL ADJUST buttons.

When the VERTICALADJUST (+) and (-) buttons are pressed at the same time during still playback, the VERTICAL
ADJUST is set to initial setting.

When QUASI V-SYNC is set to “OFF’, the picture vibration is not adjustable with the VERTICAL ADJUST buttons.
