OPERATE THE MACHINE
CHECK POWER LEVEL OF BATTERY CHARGE
Ensure battery is not being charged, If it is, disconnect
from mains supply. Insert the Key into the Keyswitch and
turn the machine fully on by rotating the Key to the ON
position. When the Keyswitch is activated, the LED battery
power level indicator lights (Fig 1) will flash in sequence
and 2 audible beeps will be heard to notify the operator
that the machine is on. At this point the battery power
status will be indicated by one of the LED lights
illuminating. The colours on the LED indicator denote as
follows:
RED:Immediate battery charge needed.
DO NOT USE.
GREEN: Machine is within maximum charge range.
CAUTION:
Operating the machine when the LED shows
RED will result in greatly reduced machine performance,
internal damage to the batteries and ultimately a
reduction in the battery life expectancy.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
NOTE:The machine leaves the production line fully
charged. It is however recommended that the battery
is charged in line with the LED battery power Level
indicator instruction prior to first usage.
If the battery requires charging prior to use, charge battery
with the off board charger as follows:
A)
Turn Key to OFF position and remove.
B)
Remove connector from machine (Fig 2)
C)
Plug connector into charger, plug charger into
mains socket (Fig 3)
The LED battery charger status indicator will show RED
light when battery is charging. To achieve maximum run
time it is not recommended that the machine is used prior
to GREEN light being displayed.
NOTE:The battery does not need to be fully discharged
before re-charging. It is advisable to opportunity charge
regularly.
ATTACH DRIVE BOARD (Fig 4) :
•
Tilt the machine back on its wheels until the
machine is resting on the floor exposing the drive
mechanism.
•
The brush or drive board should now be placed on
the drive mechanism and locked in place by turning
the brush or board anti clockwise.
•
If a drive board is used, you must select the
appropriate size and grade of pad and fit to the drive
board.
•
With the brush or drive board fitted, the machine
can be returned to the upright position.
SAFE REMOVAL OF 12V BATTERY
1. Remove Key from Keyswitch
2. Unclip the battery harness and disconnect connector.
3. Remove Battery

After completing actions necessary as detailed in
earlier sections, turn Keyswitch to the on position.
B)
Adjust handle to a comfortable working height by
pulling the height adjustment lever (Fig 5 A) .
C)
Operate the machine by sliding one of the safety
switches(Fig 5 B) outwards and lifting one of the
on/off levers (Fig 5 C).
Note that the safety switch can be released once the
machine is operating.
Machine with optional 7 Litre Tank (VA9204)
NOTE: For safety reasons and to prevent power wastage, if the machine is left
unattended for a period of approx. 4 minutes, the LED lights will flash intermittently
accompanied by an audible alert beep. If this occurs, turn machine off.
To prevent unauthorised use of machine it is recommended that the key is removed
from the keyswitch if the machine is to be left unattended.
