WARNING!
•
Ensure all nuts and bolts on the machine are tightened after you finish
the assembly and before using the woodchipper for the first time.
You must make every effort to ensure that all hardware is tightened. It
is a good idea for you to double-check.
STEP 9:
n
Locate and remove the retaining bolt
that holds the flywheel chamber
closed. Use the 18 mm wrench.
n
Open the flywheel chamber.
n
Rotate the flywheel by hand to ensure
no obstructions are in the flywheel
chamber.
The knives are
VERY
sharp.
n
Visually inspect for any obstructions.
n
Close the cover and reinstall the
retaining bolt.
WARNING!
•
Wear heavy leather gloves and use extreme caution.
•
Never operate the woodchipper with the flywheel chamber open.
STEP 10:
n
Fill the oil reservoir with 5 gallons of
15W40 motor oil.
Do not overfill the
tank; there should be a 1” air space
at the top of the tank.
n
Raise the woodchipper so that the
shaft of the woodchipper and the
shaft of the tractor are horizontally
aligned.
n
Measure to determine the correct
length of the PTO shaft.
