Checking the PTO Shaft’s Interference
Maximum PTO Shaft movement.
◼
Slowly engage the tractor’s hydraulic 3
-Point hitch to lower the implement while checking for
sufficient drawbar clearance. Move the drawbar ahead, aside, or remove it if required.
◼
Set the tractor’s 3
-Point hitch lift height to keep the PTO shaft from exceeding the maximum
allowable length and 15° up or down.

Instructions before starting the Woodchipper
◼
Start your tractor’s engine. Whi
le idle, engage the power take-off (PTO) of your tractor. Ensure
that you wear protective safety gear and that all bystanders are safely out of the way.
◼
Slowly increase the engine speed of your tractor until the PTO speed reaches 540 rpm.
Usually, a mark
on your tractor’s tachometer will indicate the necessary engine speed to
achieve the required PTO speed.
◼
Please remember to run the woodchipper at the proper 540 rpm PTO speed, regardless of the
size of the material you are chipping. Reduced PTO speed can cause plugging of the discharge
chute and reduce the hydraulic pump's efficiency.

The setup is now complete. You must read and understand all operating
instructions before using the chipper.
Prolonged exposure to loud noise may cause permanent hearing loss!
Tractors with or without implements attached can often be noisy enough to cause permanent,
partial hearing loss. We recommend that you wear hearing protection full-time if the noise in the
operator’s position exceeds 80 dB.
