Workplace
The workplace comprises both sides of the woodchipper, approximately 2 m. Persons should never
be at the rear of the machine. See the figure for the Operator zone in this Chapter.
Emergency stop procedure; Safety bracket
The Safety Bracket operates the hydraulic co
ntrols via its ‘IN
-OUT-
STOP’ function.
You can use the safety handle around
the top of the infeed hopper to stop
the infeed drum movement.

Push the handle down to stop
infeed drum rotation.
◼
Pull the handle up to start the
infeed drum rotation.
5.2
Preparation before operating
◼
Inspect the whole WC-8H visually and check all vital components like hoses and their
connections, lines, hoses and wires for damage, kinking, wear or dirt.
◼
Visually inspect the condition of the engine and hydraulic pump system.
◼
Check the hydraulic oil level. Add oil if needed.
◼
Replace the hydraulic oil when the oil is dirty or contaminated.
◼
Check the PTO Shaft's Interference as described in the previous chapter.
◼
Check that the working area is relatively smooth and free of obstacles.
◼
Always maintain a full view of the working area during operation.
◼
Keep animals and children far away from the machine.

Ensure you understand all operating procedures for operating the WC-8H
woodchipper.

Use extreme caution when driving the tractor. Blind spots can be the
cause of severe damage, injury or death.
•
Watch for people, pets, potholes, stones, rocks and puddles of water.
