The optimal absorption voltage for flat plate lead acid batteries is subject to mechanical and chemical
properties. Batteries with high antimony content can typically be charged with a lower absorption voltage
than batteries with low antimony content. (Please refer to our book “Electricity on Board” downloadable
from our website

for details and suggestions about charging batteries). Contact
your battery supplier for the correct charge voltages and change (with VE-configure) the voltage settings if
required.
The default charge current setting is 75% of the maximum charge current. This current will be too
high for most applications. For most battery Types the optimal charge current is 0.1-0.2x the battery
capacity.
