6.13
Connections
The video sources that can be used are specified in the system’s
technical data sheets.
This description refers to the following connection: DVI port for
180 E PoE.
6.13.1
Analogue source
Proceed as follows to perform an analogue connection:
1.
Connect composite video / BAS / FBAS / CVBS directly 1: 1
with a RG-59 coaxial cable to the front CVBS IN connector of
the main unit.
6.13.2
Digital source
6.13.2.1
DVI (Digital Video Interface)
Proceed as follows to perform a digital connection:
1.
Connect a 180 E PoE adapter to the “DVI OUT” output.
2.
Insert a twisted pair cable (standard Truelink 4) into the 180 E
PoE adapter and connect it to the “DVI IN” connector on the
main unit.
3.
Connect another twisted pair cable from the “DVI OUT 3”
connector located on the back of interface module “1” to the
“DVI DV 4” connector of the routing.
6.13.2.2
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface)
Proceed as follows to perform the HDMI connection:
1.
Connect a DVI adapter to the HDMI output of the source.
2.
Connect a 180 E PoE adapter to the DVI adapter.
3.
Insert a twisted pair cable (standard Truelink 4) into the 180 E
PoE adapter and connect it to the “DVI” connector of the
main unit.
6.13.2.3
SDI (Serial Digital Interface)
Proceed as follows to perform the SDI connection:
1.
Connect the “SDI / HD-SDI / 3G-SDI” adapter to the “SDI IN”
connector located on the main unit using a “RG-6” coaxial
cable.
