8 Maintenance and Care
8.1
Maintenance
The RABS components are maintenance-free.
The system indicates any malfunctions and faults in the hardware and
software in the respective devices and in the operating software.
Faults and malfunctions should be remedied as soon as possible.

Damaged parts must be replaced. Do not attempt to repair

8.2 Care
8.2.1 Thermostat / Range Extender — Display
Use a moist cloth to remove fingerprints and other light soiling — never
use chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
8.3 Replacing Components
The action steps describe how the replacement process
must be undertaken. For more detailed information on
mounting and commissioning a component, refer to the
respective sections in this instruction manual.
8.3.1 Replacing the Powerhead

Pull the mains plug of the control unit (switch mains voltage off).
X
Pull off the circuit hub of the powerhead you wish to replace.
X
Unplug the powerhead and replace it.
X
Screw on the new powerhead and plug it in the circuit hub.
X
Check all cable connections at the circuit hub for a tight fit.
X
Push the circuit hub back on the return sensor port.
NOTE! Make sure not to jam or damage the cables.

Reconnect the mains plug to the control unit.
X
Check the new powerhead for proper function.
8.3.2 Replacing the Circuit Hub
X
Pull the mains plug of the control unit (switch mains voltage off).

Pull off the defective circuit hub and disconnect all three cables.
X
Plug all three cables in the new circuit hub.
X
Push the circuit hub back on the return sensor port.
X
Reconnect the mains plug to the control unit.
INFO! If the fault indication is still present, check the other
circuit hubs; if necessary, do a factory reset at the control unit.
