Enabling or disabling frost stat circuit.
Below an outdoor air temperature of
0 °C, the speed of the supply air fan is
reduced variably, possibly until it stops
completely, when the frost stat circuit
has been enabled. This allows the heat
in the extract air to protect the counter-
current heat exchanger from icing up.
Every 10 min the control unit checks the
speed at which the supply air fan can be
operated.
The frost stat circuit is enabled for at
least 24 h. A reset will only be imple-
mented if the outdoor temperature is
consistently above 0 °C during this
period. The frost stat circuit will be ena-
bled for a further 24 h should the outdoor
air temperature during this period fall at
least once below 0 °C.

Note
Enabling the frost stat circuit creates
negative pressure in the building. There-
fore a simultaneous operation of the
Vitovent and open flue combustion
equipment in a space where there is a
combustion air interconnection is not
permissible (risk of a reintroduction of
flue gas). In that case, disable the frost
stat circuit ("06:0").
