General design and operating information
Ensuring the safety
of the system
The operator must ensure that people are not endangered and that no other
hazards arise during the remote acknowledgement of faults.
The operator must make a note in the local and operational risk assessment
and, if necessary, take measures to reduce possible hazards (operator obligation
according to the German Operational Safety Ordinance (
BetrSichV
)).
We hereby expressly refer to these operator obligations.
When remote acknowledgement is activated, the following must always be
ensured:
•
the CHP unit is operated in automatic mode,
•
remote acknowledgement with the remote start option can be selected
separately and is enabled,
•
a remote start request can only be initiated by a single control device.
Locking of remote
start/remote
acknowledgement function
The
emergency stop button
must be pressed and the key removed so that the
maintenance personnel working on site can exclude the possibility of an
unexpected CHP unit start-up. There is therefore no risk of the system starting
up.
The safety instructions which are obligatory according to the technical
description/operating instructions also remain valid when using the remote
acknowledgement function.
This applies in particular to the use of the complete protection equipment (e.g.
silencer hood panels).
System signs
Systems that can be remotely controlled and therefore do not have a start time
visible on site must be marked with a warning sign "Warning of automatic start-
up" (sign W018 according to ASR A 1.3) on the separating protection equipment,
in accordance with German accident prevention regulations (
UVV
).
The operator must select a sensible location for the warning notices in
accordance with the local and operational risk assessment for the system.
Depending where the system is installed, we recommend attaching appropriate
signs to the silencer hood of the CHP unit and/or the entrances to the CHP plant
room.
