Setback mode (reduced heating mode)
See "Reduced heating mode".
System version
The system version describes the components of your
micro CHP system.
Some examples:
■
Device
■
Heating circuit pump
■
Mixer
■
Valves
■
Control unit
■
Radiator
Every micro CHP system is individually configured and
adapted to the local conditions by your heating con-
tractor.
Operating program
The operating program specifies the following, sepa-
rately for central heating and DHW heating:
■
Central heating and DHW heating
Or
■
Central heating only, no DHW heating
Or
■
DHW heating only, no central heating
Or
■
Only frost protection for the boiler and the DHW cyl-
inder is active.
No central heating, no DHW heating
Operating status
In the
"Heating"
operating program, the operating sta-
tus changes from "Standard heating mode" or "Com-
fort heating mode" to the "Reduced heating mode"
operating status and vice versa. The times at which
the operating status is changed over are defined when
you set the time program.
Fuel cell
The fuel cell consists essentially of the following com-
ponents:
■
Reformer
In the reformer, a hydrogen-rich process gas is pro-
duced from the supplied natural gas. The process
gas is converted to electricity and heat in the fuel cell
stack.
■
Fuel cell stack
Electrochemical converter, similar to a battery, which
converts the chemical energy of the process gas to
electricity and heat. As the conversion occurs directly
and without any thermal or mechanical intermediate
steps, the fuel cell process is significantly more effi-
cient than conventional power generation.
■
Inverter
The inverter converts the direct current produced in
the fuel cell stack to alternating current. The alternat-
ing current can be fed into the building mains.
Extension kit for heating circuit with mixer
Assembly (accessories) for controlling a heating circuit
with mixer, see "Mixers"
Screed drying
Your heating contractor can activate this function for
screed drying, for example in your new build or exten-
sion. This means your screed is dried in line with a
fixed time program (temperature/time profile) that is
appropriate for the building materials used.
Screed drying affects all heating circuits:
■
All rooms are heated according to the temperature/
time profile.
Your settings for central heating have no effect on
the duration of screed drying (max. 32 days).
■
No DHW heating
Underfloor heating
Underfloor heating systems are slow, low temperature
heating systems and respond only very slowly to short
term temperature changes.
Heating with reduced room temperature at night there-
fore does not result in any significant energy savings.
Heating mode
Standard heating mode or comfort heating mode
For periods when you will be at home during the day,
heat your rooms to the standard room temperature or
comfort room temperature. Set the periods (time pha-
ses) using the time program for central heating.
