Combustion engine
To achieve a long service life it is always particularly
important to have a sufficient level of oil and to
change the oil and air filters regularly (see engine
instruction manual).
The cooling fins must always be kept clean to
ensure that the engine is adequately cooled.

Maintenance interval: Every 25 hours of
operation
If mowing results deteriorate over time, the mowing
blade is probably blunt.
Mower blade disassembly:
Use a wood block
1
(approx. 60 x 60 mm) for disas-
sembly, to counterhold the mowing blade
(see illus.).

.
The following points must be observed when re-
sharpening the blade:
•
Cool blade when sharpening, e. g. with water.
The blade must not be allowed to display blue
colouring, as this would reduce its cutting quality.
•
Sharpen blade evenly to prevent vibration due to
imbalance.
•
Check blades for damage before installing. The
blade must be replaced if notches or cracks are
identified, or if the blades are sharpened back by
5 mm (wear limit).
Mower blade installation:
Install the mowing blade with the vanes pointing
upwards into the housing channel.
For installation, use a wooden block
1
(approx. 60 x 60 mm) to counterhold the mowing
blade (see illus.).

.
Observe the specified torque when tightening the
blade bolt, as the secure attachment of the cutting
mechanism depends on it.
