Battery Recharging
CHARGE THE BATTERY FOR A MINIMUM OF 6 HOURS BEFORE THE FIRST USE, AS
THE VILEDA ELECTRIC BROOM + DUSTMOP IS SOLD WITH THE BATTERY UN-
CHARGED.
1. Connect the charger to the charging jack on the side of the product. Plug the charger into an
electrical outlet.
2. When recharging the unit the ON/OFF switch must be in the OFF position. The Electric Broom +
Dustmop will only charge when it is switched off.
3. The LED illuminates red when the charger is connected and starts charging. The light will chan
-
ge to green when the battery is fully charged.
4. For subsequent recharges, charge the unit for 6 hours or until the LED illuminates green.
NOTE:
The product may only work at best performance after the unit has been charged and discharged
two or three times.
WARNINGS:
1. Never run the battery empty and then put the product away without switching it off – deep
discharge can damage the battery. Even when the brushbar has completely stopped turning,
switch off the unit before recharging.
2. Do not attempt to use the charger with any other product nor attempt to charge this product
with another charger. This can destroy the product and will invalidate the guarantee.
3. To maintain peak performance of your cordless sweeper it is recommended that the unit is fully
discharged, then completely recharged at least once a month.
4. The battery will not be damaged if the unit is left to charge for more than 10 hours . Neverthe-
less, in order to avoid the gradual deterioration of the duration of the battery, it is recommen-
ded not to leave the unit continuously charging for more than 24 hours or to leave it perma-
nently connected to the mains.
5. Do not attempt to remove the battery pack from the unit to charge it.
6. Do not charge the unit under temperature conditions less than zero degrees celsius.
