8.2 Constant fl ow operation (CAV)

Recommended mode to directly obtain the desired fl ow in an installation.
The speed of the fan is defi ned to provide an accurate fl ow and maintain it at a constant
level.
The supply air fl ow is controlled. The "Low Speed" and "High Speed" fl ow set points are
adjusted independently in m
3
/h in the ETD command control.
The pressure transmitter measures the diff erential pressure on the fan suction chamber. The fl ow arising
from the pressure measurement is calculated by the controller, according to a coeffi cient K particular to
the fan.
The change-over between the various set points will be completed manually or automatically by time pro-
gramming.
The PI adjustment loop of the fan maintains the set point by adjusting the fan.
A third "night speed" set point may be entered via the control panel. The value as a % corresponding to the
percentage of the maximum fan speed will be used during night cooling (see corresponding function).
A timeout of 60 seconds is integrated into the programme to guarantee that the heating elements are pro-
tected in the event that a unit stop request is made.
Functional confi guration on ETD
Access to the simplifi ed confi guration menu (via password 1111) enables:
• Low Speed and High Speed fl ows of the fan to be selected.
• The night set point value of the fan.

Ventilation mode

can therefore change the operating mode of the unit without touching the settings.
