1.1  Warnings

Preliminary remarks

This product has been manufactured in compliance with strict technical safety rules in accordance with EC
standards.

Check that the product is in accordance with your order and that the characteristics shown on the name
plate are compatible with those of the installation.

Before installing and using this product, read these instructions carefully as they contain important infor-
mation for your safety and that of users during installation, operation and maintenance.
This manual contains information intended for all personnel exposed to the risks associated with use of
the product in order to prevent any injury to persons and/or material damage consequent upon operation
or maintenance.

The  standards  and  recommendations  indicated  below  reflect  the  applicable  standards,  especially  with

regard to safety. We recommend that all those exposed to risks must comply with accident prevention
standards.

VIM can in no case be held liable for any injury or material damage due to failure to comply with the safety

instructions or due to any modification to product.

Regularly check the labels and markings on the product. These are required to be replaced if they become
illegible.

Once installation is complete, ensure this manual is available to the final user for any later consultation.

Precautions to be taken for the correct operation of the system

Connecting cables must be installed so that inductive and capacitive noise does not interfere with the au-
tomation functions (in particular, do not run the control cables alongside power cables).
Fluctuations in mains voltage or deviations from its rating must not exceed the tolerance limits indicated in
the present instructions as these can cause faulty operation.
Ensure that any electrostatic charge is discharged before touching the controller.

Note: each time the system is switched on, the controller runs a test program for 5 seconds before entering RUN

mode. The parameters and settings are retained if the supply is interrupted (the clock retention time is greater

than 48hrs).

Reminder: the installation must comply with the requirements of the EMC and Low Voltage Directives.
The installation of this product and its accessories, their settings and any other work on them must be
carried out by a professional electrician in accordance with best practice, the EMC and Low Voltage Direc-
tives, applicable installation standards (NF C 15-100, etc.) and applicable safety rules.
Do not modify the factory wiring. Comply with the installation and connection plans supplied. Contact our

service department before any installation or wiring modifications.

Before switching on, check that the supply corresponds fully with the indications in these instructions and

those on the product: connection to a different voltage can result in destruction of the equipment.

Since this equipment is to be incorporated in an installation, the whole installation must be made compliant

and approved by the final installer (compliance must be established with coordination type 1 of the appli

-

cable standards EN 60204-1 and IEC 60947-4-1).
