4. CONNECTION DIAGRAMS

WARNING:

With more than two video door entry units and simultaneous starting, a supplementary power supply unit Art. 02031 must be installed for each additional video

door entry unit. Alternatively you can program a video door entry unit as the group leader, which is the only one to switch on automatically with an external call; the

other video door entry units switch on by pressing the self-start button or raising the handset. In this case the group leader switches off automatically.

BUS TERMINATION FOR DUE FILI SYSTEMS

This note applies to all devices with Due Fili technology equipped with a “BUS termination connector”, identified on the electronic card with the printing “ABC”

and marked on the connection diagrams with * . A jumper must be inserted in this connector in order to be able to adjust the video signal.

The rule to follow for correct line adjustment is:

• keep the jumper in position “A” if the BUS enters and exits the device;

• keep the jumper in position “A” if the device is connected to a distributor art. 02018;

• move, on the last device, the jumper into position “B” in the following cases:

- the BUS line “terminates” in the device itself (last device in in-out configuration);

- the video signal of the devices connected to the distributor art. 02018 is not satisfactory;

• if the result at “B” is not entirely satisfactory, try position “C”.

“A”

 NO TERMINATION

“B”

 TERMINATION 100 Ohm

“C”

 TERMINATION 50 Ohm

(*) On cards with the printing “ABCD” instead of “ABC”, consider the following matches A = AB; B = BC; C = CD.

SYSTEMS WITH ACTIVE DISTRIBUTOR 02018

In these articles the BUS input and output are represented by the pairs of terminals 1-2, 1-2. The jumper must be positioned at “B” (or ”C”) IF AND ONLY IF these

terminals are not used to continue the BUS (no device is connected for the line termination).
