SLIDE TRACK: ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
In some installations a hinged track or a SlideTrack
could be necessary, usually to move the track from the
entry to the foot of the stairs.
SlideTrack is completely automatic, as you can see
below.
SlideTrack
Climbing stairs
Install the stairlift as explained above and push the
start lever upwards.
After a moment, the stairlift will move upwards along
the stairway. The stairlift and the SlideTrack will move
at the same time, even if the stairlift will move at half
speed while the track moves. Once the SlideTrack has
reached its limit (maximum 400 mm), the stairlift will
gradually increase its speed until it reaches normal
operating speed, and it will continue to the top of the
staircase.
Keep the lever pressed upwards.
Descending stairs
Install the stairlift as previously explained and push the
start lever downwards. After a moment, the stairlift will
move downwards along the stairway.
The stairlift and the SlideTrack will move at the same
time, even if the stairlift will move at half speed while the
track moves. Once the SlideTrack has reached its limit
(maximum 400 mm), the stairlift will gradually increase
its speed until it reaches normal operating speed and
will continue to the bottom of the staircase.
Keep the lever pressed downwards. On shorter
tracks, the stairlift may reach its limit before the
SlideTrack reaches its limit. In this case keep the
lever pressed in the desired direction until all
movement has stopped.
Parking the stairlift
When the stairlift is not in use it must be removed
from the stairway so that it doesn’t block passage.
To park the stairlift, press and hold the UP button on
the remote control. The lifter will climb the stairs until
the limit is reached and the SlideTrack will move to
the UP position. Keep the UP button pressed until
the SlideTrack and the stairlift no longer block the
passageway.
If the UP button is released, the lifter and SlideTrack
will stop moving. To continue, press the UP button
again and keep it pressed. After a moment, they will
start moving again.
WARNING
Before starting the SlideTrack, remove any obstacle
that could block the track.
Manual emergency intervention mechanism
Your SlideTrack is equipped with a manual emergency
intervention mechanism so that the track can be moved
if there is an emergency. This mechanism is located
towards the lower part of the track (Fig. 60).
To move the SlideTrack manually, first loosen the
blocking bolt (as shown in Figure 61).
Use the key supplied (Figure 63), as shown in (Figure
62) to move the SlideTrack.
