Technical specifications
Minimum track length:
2 m
Maximum track length:
5 m
Minimum track angle*:
37°
Maximum track angle:
50°
Maximum load:
120 kg
Minimum pivot radius:
695 mm
* SlideTrack can be adapted to staircases of less than
27°. Nevertheless the track will reach the floor only
where the riser height is not high.
As the staircase angle decreases, the riser height must
decrease in relation, otherwise the track will block the
hallway.
Installation time
It takes the same amount of time to install SlideTrack
as it does a standard track; it is quicker and simpler
than installing a traditional hinged track.
How to order
Simply give us the distance from the upper point to the
floor and the staircase angle and we will calculate the
SlideTrack length for you.
How do we know if a less than zero intrusion is
possible.
Dimension D is the height of the first riser. This is the
height that regulates the lower intrusion of the track.
The table on the left shows the maximum height of the
first riser, at a given angle, where an absolute zero
intrusion is possible. A height of first upper riser, at a
given angle, will give a minimum intrusion.
For example: on a 45° staircase, a first riser up to 173
mm will give an intrusion of less than zero. On a 45°
staircase a first riser that is more than 173 mm will
have less track intrusion.
How do we know the upper track projection.
The diagram below shows the upper projection when
SlideTrack comes to the limit at the top of the staircase.
Dimension E is the upper projection, meaning the track
distance from the upper point in the landing area.
The table on the left shows the upper projection (E)
with a given angle of the staircase.
For example, on a 45° staircase, the upper projection
will be 195 mm.
What type of lower track intrusion will there be with
a typical first riser of 200 mm
Dimension F in the diagram below shows the lower
intrusion found with a typical first riser of 200 mm. The
table on the left gives the details of the dimensions for
a staircase with a given angle and a first riser height
of 200 mm.
If the architrave or obstacle distance from the first
point is greater than Dimension F, the installation of a
SlideTrack instead of a hinge will be acceptable.
For example, a staircase with a 45° angle and a first
riser height of 200 mm will have an intrusion of less
than 27 mm.
D: Maximum height for a maximum intrusion less
than 0
E: Upper projection (mm) at a given staircase angle
F: Lower intrusion at a given angle presuming a
first riser of 200 mm.
