6.2 Setting AUTO PRE FEED
When the AUTO PRE-FEED function is set to “ON,” the loaded media is
automatically fed forward and backward by the preset length when data is
received. This operation leaves traces of the grit rollers on the media and prevents
it from slipping during a cutting or plotting operation. Similarly, if roll media is
used, the media is automatically pulled out by the plotter.
This setting can be made at the INITIAL MENU screen, or at the FUNCTION 2
menu screen.

Lower the media set lever. The following menu appears.

Press the
F4
key (INITIAL MENU). The following INITIAL MENU screen
appears.

key (AUTO PRE FEED). The following menu appears.

The asterisk “*” indicates the currently selected setting. Press the
F3
key
(ENABLED) to select AUTO PRE FEED. Press the
F4
key (DISABLED) if you
do not wish to use the AUTO PRE FEED function.

Press the
ENTER
key to register your settings.

If ON was selected, the following FEED LENGTH setting menu appears.

Use the (

POSITION
keys to increase or decrease the value within the
range of 1 to 50 (m).

Press the
ENTER
key to register your settings.

Press the
NEXT
key to return to Step 1 and load the media.
CAUTION:•
The FEED LENGTH setting is not linked to the PAGE LENGTH setting. To
