Access point connection issues
Ensure that there are no Ethernet/Wi-Fi conflicts on your PC or Mac –
Check to make sure that if you are connecting to the camera as an access point, the Ethernet is not also connected
to your computer. While this may work, it can sometimes cause confusion in the operating system causing loss of
connection with the camera.
Wi-Fi Client Mode connection issues
Ensure that your SSID, password, and encryption type are correct. If any of this information is not correct, a
connection will not be completed. Also ensure that prior to enabling Client mode, the Access Point auto-run has
been disabled/turned off and the Access Point mode has been stopped, or that you follow the steps provided
carefully if you are switching between modes while using the Wi-Fi API.
Power Loss
When power is abruptly lost (through yanking the battery / power during record), the file in progress will likely be
recoverable at next power up, but may not be in all cases. In most cases, the power loss recovery code should
recover most of the recording in progress. The last 1.5 minutes may be lost. Power loss recovery happens on the
next power up. If a file is recoverable, it will be recovered at this time.
Image too dark or too washed out
If your image is too dark, or too washed out, you may wish to play with the exposure settings. This should correct
any issues. If your setting has extreme or mixed lighting conditions (bright sun, very low light, mounted inside a car
and looking out, or indoors near windows), you will likely need to adjust your exposure settings for better
video/images. There are two settings for exposure adjustments – the first is the exposure zone. You likely will need
to change the exposure zone to the spot mode. This is done by calling /api/sensor/exposurezone=spot or using the
