Installation of Viridian EcoLite charging station
The charging station is designed to be mounted on a wall, ladder pole or other suitable fixed
installation. NB! Do not drill in the enclosure/housing as this compromise the corrosion
resistance of the housing.
2.1 Connection
Incoming conductors are connected to the RCD and ground terminal. It is ready for cabling
both at the back and the bottom of the charging station. An additional grounding cord is
included that can be removed if this is not necessary. (Used when mounting external charging
cable / controller)
Charging station supports all power grids
–
230V 1/3-phase (IT) og 400V 3-phase (TN) and
can be connected as:
1)
1P+N (1-phase / 400V TN-S)
a.
L1 and N are connected and the charging station is connected as 1-phase
230V
2)
2P (1-phase / 230V IT)
a.
L1 and N are connected and the charging station is connected as 1-phase
230V
3)
3P (3-phase / 230V IT)
a.
L1, L2 and N are connected and the charging station is connected as 3-phase
230V*
4)
3P+N (3-phase / 400V TN-S)
a.
L1, L2, L3 and N are connected and the charging station is connected as 3-
phase 400V**
*Cars with type 2 socket that have L1 and L2 active can utilize «3-phase 230V». E.g. Tesla,
BMW i3 and e-Golf (2017) support this. Note that this is really a «2-phase» solution and
gives about 15% power versus regular 1-phase charging. In this setup, connect the L3 to
the N connector, while the L3 socket should remain open.
**Connecting the charging station to 400V/3-phase allows for maximum output (22kW)
and all vehicles that connect will draw the cars maximum capacity.
