6. Click one of the Scan Page For options. For example, if the item is a
black and white newspaper article that you want to save, select the
setting for scanning text to file (Faxing, Filing, or Copying).
For more information about these settings, see “Adjusting Scan
Settings in PaperPort” on page 23.
7. To reduce the size of the area the scanner scans, drag the selection
rectangle around the item or click one of the predefined scan area
icons.

8. (optional) To see a preview again before scanning the final image,
click the Preview button. Readjust the settings if necessary.
