white, or grayscale, resolution in dots per inch (dpi), page size, contrast,
and brightness. To see a selected configuration’s settings, click its icon.

about the selected configuration.
Select Format and Page(s)
—This option sets the format for the
scanned image and whether to scan a single page or multiple pages.
The format options are bitmap and PaperPort. Use the PaperPort
format for scanning any item. The bitmap format is usually used for
photos and artwork, and is available when you select a destination
application other than PaperPort.
The page options are single page, multiple pages, and stack.
■
Use the single page option to scan one item, which is then sent to the
destination application.
■
Use the multiple page option to scan more than one page. After each
page is scanned, a message box prompts you to insert the next page
or click the Done Scanning button. When finished, the pages are
sent to the destination application and appear as separate documents.
Click the icon of a selected
configuration and show its
settings.
