Explanation of the Symbols and Signal Words
Danger symbol: This symbol indicates dangers of injury.
Read through the associated safety notices carefully and
follow them.
Symbol for direct current
Read the operating instructions before use!

Intended Use
• This product counts and saves the steps of the person wearing
it and based on this calculates the distance covered, the move-
ment time and the approximate calorie consumption. It also has
an integrated clock.
• The product is
not
a toy!
• The product is designed for personal use only and is not in-
tended for commercial applications.
• The product should only be used as described in the operating
instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

Keep children and animals away from
plastic bags and fi lms.
■
Stop sporting activities immediately if you start to feel weak or
dizzy. If you feel sick, have a pain in your chest or arms, an
irregular heartbeat or other unusual symptoms, seek medical
attention immediately.

Danger of burns from battery acid!
–
Batteries can be deadly if swallowed! The battery and the
product should therefore be kept out of the reach of children
and animals. If a battery is swallowed, immediate medical
attention must be sought.

If a battery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid.
Wear protective gloves. If you touch battery acid, rinse the
aff ected areas with abundant clear water straight away and
seek medical assistance immediately.

Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data.
■
Remove the battery when it is dead or if you will not be using
the product for a prolonged period. This will prevent any dam-
age caused by leaks.
■
Remove a leaking battery immediately.
■
The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other
means, dismantled, thrown into a fi re, immersed in liquids, or
short-circuited.
■
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids!
■
Only use and store the product within the normal ambient tem-
peratures of up to +40°C.
■
Protect the product from heat sources, naked fl ames, wet con-
ditions, persistent moisture and impacts.
■
Do not place any heavy objects on the product.
■
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents so that
the surface is not damaged. If necessary, wipe down the prod-
uct with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry it thoroughly.
■
Do not take the product apart and do not attempt to repair it.
Contact the customer service department if there is any damage.

Check the items supplied for completeness and the components
for transport damage. If there is any damage, do not use the prod-
uct but contact our customer service department.
Before Initial Use
1. Slide the belt clip to the side.
2. Pull the insulation strip out of the battery compartment to acti-
vate the battery. The display switches on.
3. Make presettings on the pedometer (see the “Presettings”
chapter).
4. Slide the belt clip onto the pedometer and hang it on a belt. Al-
ternatively, hang the carrying strap on the eyelet on the pedom-
eter case and hang the carrying strap around your neck.
5. Activate step counting (see the “Deactivating and Activating
Step Counting” chapter).
