4.9.2 Performing an audiometry test
Note: If ambient noise exceeds 35 dB(A), it is recommended that testing is carried out
in a quieter location, in a sound booth or sound proofed room.
1. Connect the audiometer device to USB port on the computer. Windows
automatically detects and installs the device. Wait for the automatic installation
to finish.
2. Select a subject by clicking on the Subject in the subject list on the main screen.
3. Select
Test
>
Audiometry
or
Select the Audiometry icon
on the toolbar.
4. Select the required audiometry test report template from the list.
5. The Audiometry screen opens. Reference section Device Configuration and
Settings for configuration of test screen.
6. Perform the required audiometry test. Reference section Audiometry Test
Types for details of different test types.
7. To add test comments, click on
Data
tab and add comments to the Note field.
4.9.2.1 Re-open an audiometry session and continue testing
1. Select a subject by clicking on the Subject in the subject list on the main screen.
2. Select the required Audiometry session to be re-opened and select the
Audiometry test button.
Note: This session must have been performed on the
same calendar day.
3. When prompted click
Yes
to continue to the test screen.
4.9.3 Audiometry test types
4.9.3.1 Pure tone audiometry
This is the control panel for pure tone audiometry:
