Storage and cleaning
Cleaning
The tiller must be thoroughly cleaned after each use.
Careful handling protects the equipment and extends
its service life.
Before cleaning, let the machine cool down completely.
Storage
Never store the equipment with petrol in the tank.
Depending on the region and storage conditions, petrol
can deteriorate and oxidize, causing damages in the
carburetor and fuel system, difficult starts and clogging
caused by particle accumulation.
If you have stored the tiller with petrol in the tank, to
avoid difficult starts, comply with the following
recommendations:
Less than 1 month:
▪
Follow the usual procedure;
1 month to 1 year:
▪
Empty all petrol form the tank;
▪
Run the engine until it stops due to lack of fuel;
▪
Clean the fuel tap;
Over to 1 year:
▪
Empty all petrol form the tank;
▪
Run the engine until it stops due to lack of fuel;
▪
Clean the fuel tap;
▪
Change the oil;
▪
Remove the spark plug and put engine oil (5-10 cl) on
the cylinder.
▪
Pull the starter handle to distribute the oil in the
cylinder and reinstall the spark plug;
▪
Pull the starter handle slowly while feeling resistance.
The piston is rising and the intake and exhaust valves
are closed. Leaving the engine in this position will
help to protect from internal corrosion;
