5000 VOLTS
After a few seconds the display will respond with a screen displaying two meters, the top one will be displaying the voltage that
the 944i is putting out.
Repeat the adjustment procedure as described above, adjusting the output voltage for 5000 volts. Press enter when you are
satisfied with the meter reading. The display will respond with:

Press enter when ready and the calibration screen will show up again:

You may exit by selecting EXIT or pressing “3” on the keypad.
You may also choose to immediately enter the CURRENT calibration routine by selecting CURRENT or pressing “2” on the
keypad.
When you enter the CURRENT calibration routine, the display will show the following message:
REMOVE CONNECTIONS
THEN PRESS ENTER
Remove all connections from the 944i
except the short from V-LO to Chassis Sense
. If no adjustment of the current
measurement is needed, the current calibration portion of this procedure may be skipped by pressing CLR at this prompt. To
continue, press enter. The display should respond with:
APPLY 1.8µA FROM VLO
TO REAR GND (ENTER)
Connect a Valhalla Scientific 2701C (or equivalent) to a Valhalla Scientific 2500 AC-DC Current Calibrator (or equivalent) as
follows:
A. Connect 2701C +V terminal to the 2500 + input terminal.
B. Connect 2701C -V terminal to the 2500 - input terminal..
Connect the 2500 to the 944i as follows:
A. Connect 2500 + output terminal to the 944i V-Lo terminal.
B. Connect 2500 - output terminal to the 944i rear chassis ground banana jack.
C. Set the 2701C range to 2 volts.
D. Dial in 1.80000 volts.
F. Set the output current range of the 2500 to 1
