2000I & 2000M Instrument’s User Guide, Revision B

Note:
The internal circuitry is automatically powered down when the battery
voltage is low. Note that when this condition is achieved the only way to repower
the instrument is to plug it into the external charger. This will reset the internal
circuitry and reconnect the internal battery circuitry.
Warm-Up Time
The specifications for both V or I mode are valid following a fifteen-minute pe-
riod after setting the power switch to the
ON
position (assuming a charged bat-
tery). For readings involving temperature, a warm-up time of at least 30 Minutes
is recommened..
Environmental
Operating Temperature:
0ºC to 50ºC
Storage Temperature:
-30ºC to 63ºC
Humidity:
70% RH max. at 40ºC (non-condensing)
Isolation
150V peak isolation to external chassis from output terminals
500V peak isolation to ground when charging module or interface is con-
nected.
1500V peak isolation between terminals, and from either terminal to chas-
sis/ground, when in “Standby” mode.
Computation
Both the 2000I,2000M, 2000IN and 2000MN power source instruments can use a
computed output level such as an equation
output = S*entry + 0,
where S and 0
are user-defined constants. The output may be either voltage or current and you
may optionally define displayed units of up to three characters in length using
upper- or lower-case characters. Computations are performed with 0.1ppm preci-
sion.
