Sending Commands to the 2553/ 2553E

HISTORY-SCALE
This command sets the rate at which historical data is stored by the 2553/ 2553E. Any
presently stored historical data is cleared when this command is actioned. The
HISTORY-SCALE command takes a single data only, which may be any of the
following ASCII data.
See the HISTORY command for starting and stopping the update of historical data.

Notes –
•
When enabled, all historical data is updated.
•
Historical data is always cleared by this command.
•
There are 20 equally spaced historical data points per division, thus the time between
each stored data point is 1/20
th
of the times indicated above.
•
All peak data are stored as the highest peak recorded between each data point.
•
All other (non-peak) data are stored as the average value recorded between each data
point. Historical data is unaffected by the selected measurement result averaging
period.
•
Any commands that affect starting, stopping or restarting measurements also affect
historical data.
•
The HISTORY-SCALE? Interrogative command returns the present state of the
HISTORY-SCALE command.
