WARNINGS
− Read this manual carefully before using the refrigerator.
− If this appliance is replacing an older model, any locking device must be rendered completely non-functional prior to
disposal.
− Make sure that the packaging is undamaged; report any damage found to the carrier.
− Unpacking and installation of the appliance must be carried out with the utmost care. To avoid accidental injury use
protective gloves.
− After unpacking the appliance ensure that it is not damaged. Notification of any damage must be given to the dealer
no later than 24 hours from the purchase date.
− The appliance must be used exclusively to keep drinks cold.
− Install the appliance far from any heat sources and allow for sufficient ventilation (see indications below).
− Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the line voltage corresponds to specifications stated
on the appliance rating plate.
− Ensure perfect efficiency of the electrical system earthing plant in the place of installation and that the system
complies with current local standards.
− Connect the refrigerator to the power mains via its power supply cable.
− After installation check that the appliance is not standing on the power supply cable.
− Never unplug you absorption refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the plug firmly and pull straight
out from the wall outlet.
− If the power supply cable is damaged, then it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by the manufacturer’s
technical assistance service or in any case, by a similarly qualified person, in order to eliminate any possible risks.
− Never repair worn or damaged cables; contact the technical assistance service for their replacement.
− Repair or replace immediately, all electric service cords that have become frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not use
a cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its length, the plug or the connector end.
− Unplug your absorption refrigerator before cleaning or before making any repairs.
− If for any reason this product requires service, we strongly recommend that a certified technician perform the
service.
− Install the refrigerator so as to be able to disconnect it from the mains power after installation or fit a mains supply
breaker.
− Do not operate your absorption refrigerator in the presence of explosive fumes.
− Do not use mechanical devices or other means to speed up the defrosting process, other than those recommended
by the manufacturer.
− Never use electrical appliances inside the storage compartments if these are not of a type recommended by the
manufacturer.
− Do not use an adapter plug or extension cord.
− Do not use the unit in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
− Do not store food in absorption refrigerator as the interior temperature may not be cool enough to
prevent spoilage.
− For any operating problems, contact our nearest service centre. In any event always contact
qualified personnel for assistance. Before starting any repairs or inspections on the refrigerator,
make sure that it is disconnected from the power supply by unplugging it. The
“electrocution hazard”
label affixed to covers or casings, warns that removing these safeguards means exposure to risks of
coming into contact with energised parts.
− Some points on the back of the refrigerator become hot and have potentially cutting edges. Before performing any
cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the appliance from the mains power and wait for at least 60 minutes.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as per standards and regulations.
− The dial inside the refrigerator does not disconnect it from the power supply. In dangerous situations, you must
disconnect the appliance by unplugging it.
− Dispose of packaging material in accordance with local by-laws for sorted waste recycling.
− This machine cannot be thrown away with urban waste; it must be disposed of as separate refuse. Contact the
special refuse collection centres for electrical and electronic appliances in your area or return it to your dealer when
you purchase a newer model.
− If not disposed of correctly, the machine may cause damage to the environment and to people’s
health on account of the specific substances it contains.
− The symbol shown here opposite indicates that this machine cannot be disposed of with urban waste.
− Should you fly tip or dispose of the machine incorrectly, you risk fines and/or legal action being taken
against you, as specified by the laws in force.
− The use of the refrigerator for anything other than its intended purpose is strictly prohibited.
− Always keep the appliance perfectly clean and maintain the safety devices in good working order.
− Keep the air vents in the appliance casing and/or cabinet for built-in installation free from obstruction.
