Please follow the steps when using a TV remote to control the ceiling
mount. Select alternate buttons from the TV remote that do not
directly control the TV.
LEARN MODE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The TV ceiling mount will become unusable if the remote is lost, so a
TV remote may be programmed to control the mount as a backup in
case the original remote is lost (ONLY works for IR type remotes from
popular brands; compatibility with all remotes is not guaranteed).
NOTE:
TV remote can't operate all functions of the original remote
control. Only basic UP, DOWN, and STOP functions will be available.
Minimum Position
:
To adjust TV mount to minimum position
(resting against the ceiling), simply give it a slight push. The mount
will automatically return to minimum position.
Maximum Position:
To adjust TV mount to maximum position
(lowered completely), follow above instruction to return it to
minimum position. Once in the minimum position, give it a slight
push. The mount will automatically lower to maximum position.
If you need to erase all learned functions, press and hold (1) for 4
seconds on the original remote and repeat 5 times. If the functions
are not erased, any new button function learned will overwrite the
last function learned.
STEP 1
Press and hold (SET) for 5 seconds until the LED light on the
original remote control stays on, and then press (OK). The mount
will beep once, and the red LED light on the IR received will stay
on to indicate the mount has entered LEARN MODE.
STEP 2
To learn the ( ↑ ) function, press the ( ↑ ) button on the original
remote until the mount beeps twice. The light on the IR received
will change from being constant to a slow flash.
STEP 3
Aim the TV remote at the IR receiver, and press the button on
the TV remote you would like to set as the ( ↑ ) function until the
mount beeps three times. The light on the IR receiver will change
from a slow flash to a quick flash.
STEP 4
Press the (OK) button on the original remote until the mount
beeps four times. The light on the IR receiver will turn off, and the
( ↑ ) function will be learned successfully. If the mount only beeps
once, then the learn function has failed (indicating that the TV
remote may not be compatible with the TV ceiling mount).
Please also follow steps 1 through 4 to program other functions.
All 3 functions must be programmed before operating mount with
programmed TV remote.
