All maintenance operations must be performed in an adequately lit place and
only after disconnecting the machine from the power supply. With mains pow-
ered models, unplug the machine from the mains power socket. With battery
models, remove the fuse from the battery bridge. With mains powered models,
the operator must always be in a position to verify that the plug remains un-
plugged from the mains power socket throughout maintenance operations.
All work on the electrical system and all maintenance and repair op-
erations other than those explicitly described in this manual must be
performed by personnel trained and authorised by the manufacturer.
If the power cable, plug or terminals require replacing, make sure the electrical
connections and cable grip are tightly fastened to guarantee the resistance of
the cable if pulled.
