Using vCenter Chargeback

vCenter Chargeback 1.5 and VMware Cloud Director 1.0
After
you
have
installed
and
configured
your
VMware
Cloud
Director
setup,
you
can
use
vCenter
Chargeback
to
generate
the
usage
and
cost
reports
for
the
various
organizations
and
the
corresponding
organization
vDCs
in
your
VMware
Cloud
Director
setup.
Prerequisites for Using vCenter Chargeback with VMware Cloud
Director
Before
you
start
generating
reports,
perform
the
following
tasks:

Install
vCenter
Chargeback
along
with
a
vCenter
Chargeback
data
collector.
Refer

the
vCenter
Chargeback
User’s
Guide
for
detailed
instructions
about
installing
vCenter
Chargeback
and
the
corresponding
data
collector.

Install
the
VMware
Cloud
Director
Data
Collector
and
vShield
Manager
Data
Collector.

the

collectors
individually
or
along
with
vCenter

Configure
vCenter
Chargeback
and
all
the
data
collectors.
You
must
configure
the
VMware
Cloud
Director
Data
Collector
and
vShield
Manager
Data
Collector
for
the
data
collectors
to
function
correctly.

Add
all
the
vCenter
Server
machines,
which
are
attached
to
your
VMware
Cloud
Director
setup,
to
vCenter
Chargeback.

to
vCenter
Chargeback.
After
all
the
data
collectors
are
installed
and
configured
and
the
vCenter
Server
instances
in
your
VMware
Cloud
Director
setup
are
added
to
vCenter
Chargeback,
the
organizations
and
the
entities
within
the
organization
in
your
VMware
Cloud
Director
setup
are
automatically
imported
in
to
vCenter
Chargeback.
