Description
The system provides privacy on all communications in the system which
prevents other stations from accidentally entering an existing
conversation. However, the system provides the ability for a station to
join an existing outside CO line conversation (on a per station basis). Each
station can be granted the privilege to join an existing CO line
conversation by simply pressing the CO line button of a CO line in use.
Privacy on an SLT can be useful in situations where a modem is using the
SLT port for data transmission.Disabling this feature lets data transfer
proceed without being interrupted with a Camp On tone. Both the
station and the CO Line must have Privacy disabled before the system
allows cut-through.
If Privacy is disabled and a station joins an existing call, a
programmable warming tone is presented to both parties prior to
actual cut-through.
