1. AUDIO OUT section: the section contains the outputs of the signal generated by the
Genius’s internal sound card.

[PHONES]: connector for connection of stereo headphones. Only headphones with
impedance of at least 100
Ω
should be used.
o
AUDIO OUT [R] and [L/MONO]: connect the cables leading from your amplification
system to these connectors. If a mono signal is used, connect to the [L/MONO]
connector only.
2. FOOT section: contains the connectors for connection of the optional foot-switch pedals
whose functions can be set in the SYSTEM section of the instrument. To avoid damage to the
Genius’s internal components, it is important to use only pedals with normally open contact.
4. [MIDI OUT] port: output port for the MIDI data generated by the Genius.
5. [JOY PORT] connector: this connector can be used to connect the optional peripherals
such as the video interface, the additional graphic display, etc. to the Genius. It can also be
used to equip the instrument with a MIDI IN port using a Joy-to-MIDI lead. Refer to the
connections section for further details on this.
6. [POWER] switch: switch for turning the instrument on and off.
7. [AC ADAPTER] connector: connect the connector leading from the power supply adapter
provided to this connector.
