6.4 SETTING THE METRONOME TEMPO
The Tempo function allows the user to vary the metronome tempo of a song being played.
As for the other REAL TIME ADJUST functions, pressing the [TEMPO] key quickly activates
(LED on) and/or deactivates (LED off) the variation in tempo which can be set in the Tempo
Setup function, while keeping the key pressed for a longer time accesses the video page for
setting the variation in tempo to be implemented.
6.4.1 TEMPO SETUP
To access the Tempo Setup function keep the [TEMPO] button pressed for about 2 seconds
and the display will show the video page:

The
TEMPO CHANGE Ratio
field allows the user to regulate the variation not in the
absolute metronome tempo but in a calculation percentage, in order to guarantee a proportional
variation even in case of “rallentandos” or “accelerandos” envisaged during performance of
the song.
Note that the
TEMPO CHANGE Ratio
field represents the percentage calculation the
instrument will make to establish the new bpm value. In this case, a ratio of 100% means that
the new tempo will be equal to 100% of the original value, so there will be no change. The
possible bpm values cover a range from 50 to 250.
To simplify the setting of the new bpm value, the
NEW TEMPO
field will display the outcome
of the calculation of the variation made.
As the display indicates, if [ENTER] is pressed the new value is accepted and, during playback
of the song, the variation will be implemented whenever the [TEMPO] key is pressed.
