During reading and/or writing [ESC] can be pressed to interrupt the copying operation. The
display will show the message ABORTING IN PROGRESS for the time taken to close any
files open.
During disk to disk copying of files, if the file is already present in the destination unit, it will be
overwritten.
COPYING FILES FLOPPY TO MEMORY – MEMORY TO FLOPPY
If the unit of destination of the files selected for copying is not the same as the source unit
(copying files from floppy disk to memory or memory to floppy disk, when [ENTER] is pressed
the instrument will automatically proceed with the reading and writing operations; the display
will show:
Here again, pressing the [ESC] key will abort the procedure.
The
(nn/nn)
field displays the number of files copied in relation to the total number selected.
For greater convenience, the Genius checks whether the file being copied is already present
in the destination. If this is the case, the display will show:
CAUTION!
Users are urged to take special care over disk removal and insertion, which must only
be carried out when the instrument displays the relative prompt.
This is because it takes a short time for the drive heads to locate in a safe position. If the
floppy disk is inserted before the system prompt, remove it again and wait for the prompt.
