DATA FILER
8.3.3 OUT FILTER
The OUT FILTER, similar to the IN FILTER, allows you to set the operating modes of the filters
on the MIDI messages transmitted by the instrument.
Filtering a message means that it will not be transmitted on any channel (any track), either to
the internal sound generator or to the [MIDI OUT] port.
To access this function, from the MIDI menu, select the
OUT FILTER
field using the [F3]
function key; the display will show the video page:
148
You can use the fields in this video page, selectable using the function keys associated to
them, to set the behaviour of the filters. Using the encoder, you can modify their status in
accordance with the following rule:
ü
Filter ON: the type of message to which the filter refers is filtered; these messages therefore
will not be transmitted.
ü
Filter OFF: the type of message is not filtered, so these messages are transmitted to the
[MIDI OUT] port.
The types of message to which the filter can be applied are the following:
o
Note
: selectable by means of the [F2] function key – enables/disables the filter on the
outgoing note messages (Note On and Note Off).
o
PRG
: [F3] – enables/disables the filter on the outgoing Program Changes (timbre definition).
o
CC
: [F4] – enables/disables the filter on the outgoing Control Changes (control messages).
o
Sys-Ex
: [F5] – enables/disables the filter on the System Exclusive Messages (used as
setup data) transmitted.
o
R.T.
: [F6] – enables/disables the filter on the Real Time (synchronisation) messages.
The modifications made to this section affect correct playback of songs.
After making the desired settings, press the [ESC] key and the modifications made will be
saved automatically. On exit from the function, the current song will be reloaded.
