9.1.5 EDIT SONG – TEMPORARY PLAY
The Genius allows the user to listen to the song modified using the EDIT SONG functions,
before it is definitively saved; you can therefore listen to the changes you have made and
assess their effectiveness before saving them.
When the [PLAY] key is pressed from any EDIT SONG menu function, the instrument will play
the provisional version of the song and the display will show:
The field next to the [F1] function key contains the name of the song being played using the
temporary function. This condition will be displayed by the
***TEMP***
field.
The other three fields have the same function as the MAIN PAGE.
As during normal playback of a song, during the temporary play function you can use the
[REW] and [FF] keys to locate a given bar number within the song. To stop the playback for a
moment, use the [PAUSE] key.
Press the [STOP] key to abort the TEMPORARY PLAY function and return to the previous
video page.
During the temporary Play, the display will also show any lyric information the song contains;
press the [LYRICS] key to disable the display.
