As for the functions described previously, the Genius uses the rule of relative editing, which
involves a percentage rescaling of the data in the track. This is in order to retain the variations
in the level of the effect set in the song originally. If the permitted values are exceeded, the
maximum and minimum values will be forced.
9.2.6 EDIT TRACK – CHORUS
The CHORUS function is another function allowing modification of the level of an effect. You
can use it to regulate the amount of the modulation effect present in a given track.
After selection of the
CHORUS
field from the EDIT TRACK menu, the display will show the
following video page:
containing the following fields:

Track
: selectable using the [F2] function key – allows the user to specify the track on
which the level of the chorus effect is to be modified.
o
StartMsr
: [F3] – identifies the number of the first bar from which the variation in the
chorus effect level is to be made.
o
EndMsr
: [F4] – identifies the number of the last bar in which the variation in the effect
level is to be made.
o
Var.
: [F5] – sets the percentage modification of the value of the control relating to the
chorus effect in the track in question and in the set range of bars.
Refer to the information provided in the previous point with regard to percentage modification
of the value.
9.2.7 EDIT TRACK – TEMPORARY PLAY
As for the EDIT SONG function, EDIT TRACK also allows the song which has been modified
to be played in order to assess the changes made, before the new form is definitively
memorised.
If the [PLAY] key is pressed from any EDIT TRACK page, the instrument will play the song in
accordance with the modifications made.
The display will show the video page illustrated on the next page.
